On Tuesday, Star Wars: The Force Awakens added $13 million internationally and $8M domestically.
Overseas, TFA dropped just 10% from Monday to bring its cume to $799.1M. That means no changes in the rankings, with JJ Abrams’ continuation of the epic sci-fi saga holding at No. 14 ever overseas and No. 4 worldwide. The worldwide total is now $1,557.3M.
In all likelihood, the offshore ranking will change with today’s grosses factored in as TFA should pass Skyfall, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Iron Man 3. That would make it the No. 11 movie ever overseas.
To move up on the global chart to No. 3, it would need to pass Jurassic World’s $1.669B. China opens this Saturday. In the meantime, the leading markets outside North America are the UK ($148.7M), Germany ($85.4M), France $71.5M), Japan ($57.3M) and Australia ($53.1M).
