50 Cent & Rick Ross Both Releasing New Mixtapes On Thanksgiving

50 Cent 2015
50 Cent and Rick Ross may not be the best of chums but their release dates are syncing up. Both rappers announced that they would be dropping mixtapes on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
Aside from his beef with Derek Jeter over allegations regarding his Frigo underwear line, 50 Cent will be busy pumping out new tracks for The Kanan Tape, the follow-up to his 2014 LP, Animal Ambition.
Fif has never been one for timetables when it comes to his musical output, as he told Billboard last March at SXSW: "It's great. I choose everything: what to release [and] when to release it. The fun part is that there doesn't have to be a schedule. There's no timeline. If I write a record and I want to put it out, I'll put it out."

Meanwhile, Rick Ross has done the same. Rozay has been flooding SoundClouds with remixes for mainstream hits like Adele's "Hello" to Drake and Future's "Jumpman."
Now, the MMG chief will bundle all his remixes for the #RenzelRemixes 'tape, also due next week. The project will roll out a week before Rawse's eighth studio effort, Black Market, dropping Dec. 4
Rozay recently explained how he picks which tracks to remix. "It's just whatever I like, or what I'm a fan of," he told Billboard. "I might ask on Twitter every blue moon, I might ask my fans what they want me to retouch. I asked them that a day or two ago and they told me [Future and Drake's] "Jumpman" and I gave it to them a few hours later."

M.I.A. Tests 'Borders' On Her New Song

M.I.A performs on November 9, 2013 in Austin, Texas.

M.I.A. returns to the mic with her unfiltered banger "Borders." After teasing the hard-hitting track on Instagram, the rap rebel calls out politics, policy and the privileged while waving the flag for freedom.

Earlier this week, she tweeted that it was hard for her to put her feelings about the world into bars.
In July, M.I.A. released an audiovisual project called Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border, a six-minute clip that featured her songs "Warriors" and "Swords." She also unleashed her video for "The New International Sound Pt. II," which featured 36,000 Chinese children fighters.
Consider this a sign for new material to come from the British-Sri Lankan rep, who is working on her upcoming LP, Matahdatah.
She told EW earlier this year about the project, "It’s like a journal. And the journal happens to be a really wide journey. It’s about borders and it’s kind of testing the human idea of that — whether it’s physical borders, geographical or philosophical ones.”

Romeo Responds To Lawsuit Filed By His Mother

Romeo Responds To Lawsuit Filed By His Mother

Romeo has responded to the lawsuit that his mother, Sonya Miller, has filed against him in the midst of her divorce from Master P. He suggests that her lawyers manipulated her into the case.
"Today I was served by my own mother and although it hurts, I know that she can't be 100% behind all of these ridiculous moves," Romeo says to TMZ, "but instead is being guided by another's greed."
Miller is suing Romeo because she says Master P is seeking to hide his assets in their son's name.
"It sucks because the only reason I've ever worked so hard was to make my mother proud," Romeo says.

Most artists have reacted to the news via social media. Long Island lyricist Freddie Foxxx spoke on the hate that must have been present for a police officer to shoot McDonald 16 times.
“Only hate can make you empty a full clip on a young teenager who was obviously no threat. 16 Shots of Hate. #LaquanMcDonald,” Foxxx wrote in a tweet sent last night.

Meek Mill Jay ZYou know Meek Mill does music too?
The Philly emcee, who’s spent the last several months in the news because of his beefs and his girl, will be dropping his Dreamchasers 4 mixtape soon.
He teased the cover on IG early this morning. It’s a bunch of hundies origami-ed into a Christmas tree, suggesting a December 25th release.
The caption reads “I wanna believe in everything but I’m too far gone!”  We don’t think this is a slight or attack directed at Drake, Wale or anyone else.
