Chelsea flop Radamel Falcao poised for Monaco return as they assess thigh injury

Chelsea misfit Radamel Falcao has travelled back to Moncao for medical tests.
The Colombian striker is expected to have his loan to Chelsea cut short if the clubs can come to an agreement but he was in the Principality to have his thigh injury assessed first.
The 29-year-old has scored one goal in 11 appearances for Chelsea and has interest from the likes of Club America and Columbus Crew.

Chelsea will take stock of his injury prognosis before determining their next step.
Guus Hiddink needs extra strikers and has so far blocked Loic Remy's departure on loan. Paris St Germain's 30-year-old forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has also been offered to Chelsea.

But despite his lack of firepower, the Dutchman is ready to let flop Falcao leave the club, with his future seemingly lying away from the Premier League.
One player who could profit from Falcao's departure is Patrick Bamford who has returned the Stamford Bridge after his failed spell at Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old was prolific during his time with Middlesbrough and could now be given a first team chance by Hiddink.
