Manchester United's players are expecting Diego Simeone to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

Jose Mourinho remains the favourite to step into Van Gaal's shoes should the veteran Dutch coach depart the Red Devils in the near future while assistant manager Ryan Giggs is also in the frame.

But reports claim the United squad are already bracing themselves for Simeone's arrival from Atletico Madrid, though Chelsea are also keen on the former Argentina international.
